Because This is My First Life

Left to Right: JiHo and SeHee (couple), SooJi and SangGoo (couple), HoRang and WonSeok (couple) Short summary of the series: Three Couples go on journeys to experience marriage and/or love in the most odd ways. One couple has a contractual marriage, the other believing in independence, the other having conflict on different views of marriage. I'm not doing any sort of review that explains the whole premise and plot etc, I'm just voicing my opinions. For this, I might as well add that there might be spoilers . This series gave me a better judgement on marriage. In retrospect I only personally simplified marriage regardless of how others thought traditionally (with no disrespect to traditional marriages) but, I thought that there were only two distinct marriages; traditional and those that are uncommonly different. It’s my fault for not being educated and aware of the different marriages there are and could be. In the series, it taught the different ways peopl...

Just Between Lovers

Main Characters Moon Soo (left) and Gang Doo  Short summary of the series: Moon Soo and Gang Doo both experienced trauma from a Mall that crashed down onto them. Without knowing that they had the same experiences, they meet by chance and fall in love - both facing losses of their loved ones in the accident.   I'm not doing any sort of review that explains the whole premise and plot etc, I'm just voicing my opinions. For this, I might as well add that  there might be spoilers. This series was joyous in its best. K-dramas are know for their dramatic flair, however I thoroughly enjoyed it and binged every episode. It really has a wonderful charm of its own. Ever had second-lead syndrome? It's when the second male lead is usually the person you root for. This was not the case, surprisingly. They displayed so much bonding and charm onto the main characters, you'd just wait until something happened between the two. It didn't even occur to me that the serie...

In Between Seasons

Soo Hyun and Yong Joon, the lead characters that are extremely precious Short summary of the movie: Two guys (Soo Hyun and Yong Joon) develop a bond together until it becomes stronger. Soo Hyun gets into a car accident and Yong Joon has to endure the hardship of their loved one in a coma - with a really unpleasant mother.   I'm not doing any sort of review that explains the whole premise and plot etc, I'm just voicing my opinions. For this, I might as well add that  there might be spoilers. Watching this movie taught me a lot of values; Patience being one of them. I think the movie was beautiful in it own way with both characters performing extremely well. It was immersive and yet, quite sad in my opinion. It's realistic and you'll develop a bond with the characters. They definitely make you feel like you're a part of them and that you're going through their journey.  Precious little beans, Yong Joon backhugging Soo Hyun The ending is open to in...

Midnight Runners

Short summary of the movie: Two guys decide to go to Police University to become policeman, develop a tight friendship and get involved in a trafficking case that they are adamant to solve.   I'm not doing any sort of review that explains the whole premise and plot etc, I'm just voicing my opinions. For this, I might as well add that  there might be spoilers. This movie may be one of the best comedies I've ever seen. The chemistry between the two characters really made the movie gold. I didn't expect the humor in here as well as the reality of certain concepts. This can be watched alone or with family and everyone would be having a great time.  These two were so entertaining to watch, though they're damn cute as well The developing, comical and strong bond between the two characters are extremely hilarious and heart-warming. I really enjoyed this even though there is a dark matter involved in the movie. I don't want to spoil too much however I wil...

Cry Me A Sad River (Movie)

Doesn't this look extremely dramatic? I absolutely love it. Short summary of the movie: A poor girl named Yi Yao is bullied to the extent where she cannot take it anymore.   I'm not doing any sort of review that explains the whole premise and plot etc, I'm just voicing my opinions. For this, I might as well add that  there might be spoilers. Yi Yao  This would definitely be on my top 10 list. I have rarely been on the edge of my seat for movies, but this movie did itself justice. It wasn't too depressing - there were moments of lightheartedness and warmth as well for a 'tragedy' genre  movie.  For the extremely soft-hearted it might be a tear-jerker but nothing came for me. What I will admit is that the movie made me experience many emotions and the beauty of it. You can feel and bond with the characters and what they endure. Bullying is a great way to show the seriousness of one's actions. Left to Right: Annoying bitch, even worse as...

A Million Little Pieces - James Frey

Short summary of the book: An extreme drug addict spends his time in a rehab center and slowly heals. I'm not doing any sort of review that explains the whole premise and plot etc, I'm just voicing my opinions. For this, I might as well add that  there might be spoilers. Finally , I've finished the book.  This is not to say in the least that it was bad; however if your story's setting is only one place - there's only so much you can tell.  The setting is a Rehabilitation Center for the addicted. James being one of them.  James - for me - was peculiar. What I'm trying to say is that I could never have guessed his age was 22. It sounded like years of addiction (which it was) but rustier. I've researched that the book is over-exaggerated for dramatic effect but overall it was a biography of some sort. I predicted false information from all the fights he initiated. The book read as a mid-thirties man. Regardless there were beautiful parts of the boo...

Birdwing - Rafe Martin

Short summary of the book: A prince cursed with a swan wing escapes his own kingdom and runs away after his father wants his wing cut.   I'm not doing any sort of review that explains the whole premise and plot etc, I'm just voicing my opinions. For this, I might as well add that  there might be spoilers. This book was an awful drag. I could not believe a journey would cover so much of a book.  However I have enjoyed some parts of it, such as: The Horse . I think the author really thought of the movie Shrek when writing about the horse. (The horse's name was Horse , do not be mistaken) Horse completely reminded me of Donkey , just a bit more sophisticated, but he humored me well.  The best friends as well. I think the betrayal just made a good turn in the book. I liked it, it made me gasp and it paid for the drag of a story. His friend that he fell in love with, Skye, was already in a secret relationship with his close friend Stephen. Now isn't th...
